Desert Expedition - Egyptian Western Desert, Dakhla Oasis

Winter 2007/08: 28 Dec - 12 Jan, 2008
We made a ten-day trip from Dākhila Oasis walking with camels carrying our gear to get to confluence point N25 E28 - averaging about 25 km a day.

In ten days we saw no one and had a wonderful time. We found grinding stones, tools, extinct tiger teeth, and other treasures, and crossed several times the tracks of esteemed German explorer Carlo Bergmann.

There is no better feeling than arriving at a point by your own steam and not by the all too easy 4x4! Expedition team at confluence point N25 E28

See the Deserts section for information about our next expedition.
