Justin Featherstone

A keen mountaineer and whitewater kayaker, Justin has led and participated in over twenty overseas expeditions to the mountains, rivers and rainforests of the world. He served eighteen years as an Army Officer reaching the rank of Major; for most of this time he was with The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment and was awarded the Military Cross for his gallantry and leadership in Iraq in 2004.

At different times he has instructed both Army and Navy trainee officers, and his last post, before leaving the Army, was the principal leadership staff officer at Sandhurst. He is a keen stills photographer and naturalist, a member of both the Alpine Club and the Institute for Outdoor Learning, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society since 2002.

Justin is now a freelance leadership and expedition consultant and also presents and contributes to television and radio documentaries. He lives in Devon with his partner Sharon, their daughter Oake, and Tigris an errant mutt he brought back from Iraq.

 

Neil Champion

Neil is a qualified mountaineering and rockclimbing instructor who has climbed extensively - in the UK, Continental Europe, the Himalayas and North America. He also works in publishing as a freelance editor and is the author of a number of books.

Neil lives in Oxford.

 

Claudia Filsinger

Claudia has many years experience in facilitating and leading groups. She has worked with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and ages in a variety of roles in the voluntary and corporate environment. Her career started in sales in the Media & IT Industries. Since 2002 she has had a Learning & Development role at a leading global IT Corporation.

Originally from Germany, Claudia lives now in Oxford.

 

Helen White

Having studied Classics and Art History, Helen has a tremendous interest in anything ancient and sandy and is part of a team currently researching in Pompeii. Helen's other passion is wine and she jointly runs a corporate wine event business.

Helen lives in London and works as a PA for a leading law firm.
